Getting to Sapzurro
Getting to Sapzurro takes commitment, which is exactly why it stays beautiful. The main route is: fly or bus to Medellín → bus to Turbo or Necoclí (5–8 hours depending on origin) → speedboat to Capurganá (2–3 hours from Turbo, 45–60 min from Necoclí) → short boat from Capurganá to Sapzurro (20 min). There are also small propeller planes from Medellín or Montería to Acandí, from where you take a short boat.

Best Time to Visit
January to April is peak dry season — clear skies, flat seas, best snorkeling visibility. June to August is also good. October–November is the rainiest and the Caribbean can be rough; not the best time for the boat journey. Year-round the temperature is warm (27–32°C / 81–90°F), so the real variable is sea conditions and rain. Whenever you go, Sapzurro will feel like a discovery.
